Some have even heard the sounds of musical instruments and sewing machines.   It is said that Al Capone makes his presence known with his disembodied whispers, apparitions, and even the sound of him playing the banjo. The Oman House

Beverly Hills, California

Haunted Oman House

Built by David Oman and his father in 1999 and completed in 2002, the house sits just north of famous Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills and down the private drive from the site of the Sharon Tate Murders of 1969 at the hands of Charles Manson and his "Family." The property owner, David Oman, reported that supernatural activity started as soon as they started construction. He believes Sharon Tate is one of the restless spirits haunting his property. A witness claims to have seen a bleeding pregnant woman walking outside the house who they believe was Sharon Tate. Other reports include disembodied voices, heavy footsteps making their way across empty rooms.  Some believe the house is a containment vessel for spirits because of the geomagnetic energy that surrounds the property. Also, the hillside property is believed to contain the remains of Native Americans buried here.

Queen Anne Hotel

San Francisco, California

Haunted Queen Anne Hotel

Opening in 1890, this traditional San Francisco grandeur Painted Lady originally served the area as the Miss Mary Lake's School for Girls. Its headmistress, Miss Mary Lake, allegedly had an affair with U.S. Senator James Fair, who (coincidentally) funded the construction of the beautiful mansion. And this tension never left the house, even after Mary's death. Many have confirmed that Mary continues to haunts this property, favoring Room 410, which was once Mary's office. Once, a resident of Room 410 woke up to find themselves on the floor with their bedding neatly tucked around them.  It is common for most guests to be simply tucked in bed, assuring they are well taken care of. But the hauntings are not limited to Room 410. Guests also report feeling cold spots in the hallways and seeing strange reflections in the mirrors all around the hotel. Another interesting fact is that the Mary Ellen Pleasant, the so-called Voodoo Queen of San Francisco, lived right across the street from the Queen Anne Hotel in the 1800s.  A coincidence, you may ask?
