The Haunts of RHI

The Rolling Hills Asylum was built in 1827, originally called the Genesee County Poor House (serving as a working farm). Shortly after, it became a refuge for some of society's less fortunate, needed or even wanted. This collage of despair, composed of widows, orphans and mentally ill, had no choice but to mingle and live with each other in a survival mode. When their tragical lives came to an end, the unclaimed dead were buried right on the property.

Could the history of over 1,700 documented deaths (with hundreds not recorded) be the reason Haunted North America rated it as the second most haunted site in the USA?
