History

Pensacola FL is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Pensacola Victorian Bed and Breakfast. Come explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.

The History

This Queen Anne Victorian was the dream home of ship captain William Hazard Northup. It was built on a spacious, shady lot in downtown Pensacola, where he could keep an eye on his business interests and still smell the salt air. During Captain Northup's distinguished career on land, he served as a bank president, Postmaster General of Pensacola, Mayor of Pensacola, and helped found the city's Philharmonic Orchestra. His exquisite home, with its gleaming hardwood floors and paneling, sparkling chandeliers, and charming Victorian nuances, was a favorite gathering place for the leaders of turn-of-the-century Pensacola. Now it is a lovely B&B that welcomes guests.

The Hauntings

Apparitions and other paranormal activity have been frequently reported at Pensacola Victorian Bed and Breakfast. There have even been aromas of breakfast drifting through the halls before anyone started preparations.
