Wealthy lumber baron William Shaw constructed the home in 1890 as his primary residence. It has had several owners over the years and in 1946, it was converted to a hotel/inn and has operated as an inn ever since.
The haunting at Greenville Inn at Moosehead Lake is a very pleasant one. A recent guest has described the ghost as a friendly young lady who actively makes her presence known by opening doors and creating gusts of cool breezes.
