Fall River, MA is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast. Come Explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.
This is the original house where the 1892 brutal, double murders had taken place. Andrew and Abby Borden's bodies were found on that ghastly August 4th morning. Now a bed-and-breakfast, it may never be known if it was Lizzie that ax murdered her family in the house or not. Regardless of who did it, the house remains haunted.
Stories of the activity at this location include covers being ripped from the bed of sleeping guests, objects being moved about the house, children laughing and playing and full-bodied apparitions of men, women, and children. There are reports of footsteps on the above floors and stairs when no one else in the home, shadow figures, doors opening and closing, phantom smells such as floral cologne and lights turning on and off on their own.
This inn has been featured on many television shows, including Ghost Lab, Dead Files, Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, My Ghost Story, and Scariest Places on Earth.
