History

Cheyenne WY is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Historic Plains Hotel. Come explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.

The History

The Historic Plains Hotel, built in 1911, has hosted visiting celebrities, dignitaries, business titans, and other luminaries. The city's elite gathered here for family and business celebrations.

The Hauntings

Sometimes a single event can cause the ghostly activity to arise at a particular location. Such is the case at The Historic Plains Hotel when a bride found her husband with another woman, she killed them, then herself. Rosie, the bride, has been spotted in her blue dress, walking the hotel corridors. The groom, wearing a black dress coat and a white shirt, is most often seen on the fourth floor and the basement. The "other woman" is seen on the second floor, wearing her short red dress with white lace.
