Tryon, NC is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, 1906 Pine Crest inn and Restaurant. Come explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.
Built in 1906 and converted to an inn in 1917. The inn has 35 guest rooms in the lodge and in cabins and cottages that dot the property. Some original buildings still stand, including a 250-year-old log cabin, a woodcutter cottage, and a stone cottage.
Psychics say an energy vortex may be responsible for the otherworldly occurrences.
The furniture mysteriously moves around in the guest rooms and common areas. A visitor once woke up and found his dresser blocking the door and clothes scattered around the room. People hear voices, and an employee hears a man greet her many days with Good morning! A salad plate once spun around, flew off the table and broke. Utensils and furniture have been reported to move right before employees’ eyes.
Two employees heard someone pounding on the inside door of the locked walk in-cooler and thought someone was trapped inside only to open the door and find no one there.
