Concord, MA is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, 1716 Concord's Colonial Inn. Come Explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.

The original part of the Inn was built in 1716. Throughout the Revolutionary War, the Inn served as a hospital. In the early 1800s, sections of the Inn were used as a variety store and a residence. The building was also a boarding house and a small hotel. It began operating as the Inn in 1889. During the 1960s and 70s, the Inn was expanded and several restorations have been done on the property. 2016 was the 300th anniversary of the Inn being built.

During the Revolutionary War, room 24 was used as an operating room and the Liberty Room was used as a hospital. This may explain the activity experienced throughout the Inn. Lights flicker in the room or turn on and off on their own. One guest awoke in the middle of the night to find every light in the room was on, as well as the television. Guests hear whispers coming from the closet and have seen the door to the room slam shut on its own.

Apparitions of both a middle-aged woman, thought to be a nurse and wounded soldiers have appeared in room 24. An older woman and a tall gentleman have been spotted in the sitting room. A young girl in a bonnet has been seen walking around by the front desk of the hotel.

Items fall off of shelves and things go missing without a trace only to turn up in strange places. Guests and employees have heard voices coming from right behind them and see nothing when they turn around.
