Gainesville, TX is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Hill House Manor. Come Explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.

Hill House Manor was built in the early to mid 1800′s. It has been everything from a bordello, speakeasy, to even small apartments. It was small apartments when the current owner bought it, but she began to notice that tenants were breaking their leases. She opened the house up paranormal investigators to find out what was going on.

There is a rumor that when the house was a bordello, a man was murdered in the downstairs areas, nicknamed "The Dead Area." It is called that because no electricity runs through that part of the house. People get eerie feelings of hostility and being watched in this area.

"The Fireplace Room" is thought to be the most activity. It was one of the rooms where men would be "served" during the bordello days. Many investigators capture "X-Rated EVP's" in this room.

"The Window Room" is said to be home to a ghost cat, although it is also felt throughout the building.

An upstairs kitchen is said to be haunted by the spirit of an angry old man; some call "The Cowboy." It has been said that he attacks female guests who wander through the house. They have feelings of uneasiness or queasiness, and some report being scratched by the unseen figure.

There are also ghosts of two children at Hill House Manor that are seen and heard all over the property, but they are frequently felt in an upstairs area that has a dollhouse and other toys.

The owner has appeared on My Ghost Story and this property was featured in the 2018's World's Largest Ghost Hunt. http://www.nationalghosthuntingday.com/
