Manistee, MI is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, S.S. City of Milwaukee. Come explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.
Built in 1931, the SS City of Milwaukee is a railroad car ferry. It is the only pre-1940s ship of this type to survive and is now a museum ship, bed and breakfast and even a true haunted venue for many to explore!
Here is another example of waters enriching the phantom's energies for incredible activity! Visitors have reported eerie noises, disembodied voices and footsteps, and apparitions on the ferry. Sometimes unexplained floral aroma will be experienced. There is one small room that no one likes to go into, at least alone. It was previously used by a crew member who died there on a night many years ago.
The ferry's first captain, Stormy Jack's phantom, also lurks through the ship. He prefers the captain's stateroom. An apparition of a woman dressed in white has been reported; it is said she fell overboard.
