Cynthiana, KY is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Rohs Opera Hose. Come Explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.
The ROHS Opera House was built in 1871 as Aeolian Hall which had a live production theater located on the second floor. A silent movie projector was eventually added to bring movies to Cynthia Kentucky. In turn, in 1941, the new Opera House was added to the building by H.A. Rohs and his son Karie.
The most seen ghost is of a "Lady in white" which has been reported seen by many over the years. Paranormal investigators have caught many EVP's (digital voice recordings) at the Opera House. One, in particular, plays the name "Loretta". So many of these EVPs, have been designated CLASS A, acknowledging their clarity and intellectual response. Unexplained aromas, seeing shadow figures, objects move and things getting misplaced are common here. The ROHS Opera House was featured on TV's My Ghost Story. This property has been featured on the World's Largest Ghost Hunt in FOUR CONSECUTIVE YEARS, form 2016-2019. http://www.nationalghosthuntingday.com/ Truly an iconic emblem of the haunted in a beautiful small town!
