Cynthiana, KY is home to one of the most haunted places in the state, Rohs Opera House. Come Explore its mystery with Haunted Journeys.

The History

From Cynthiana Kentucky's land of the "Walking Dead", The ROHS Opera House is a historical landmark in this sweet southern town. It was built in 1871 as Aeolian Hall, which had a live production theater located on the second floor. A silent movie projector was eventually added to bring movies to Cynthia Kentucky.

In 1941, the “new” Rohs Opera House was added to the building by H. A. Rohs and his son Karle. These men are the grandfather and great grandfather of the actor Chris O’Donnel.

The Hauntings

The "Lady in White" is most often seen throughout the opera house. She has actually been captured on photo images and videography, standing up in the balcony gallery. She appears to be in her forties, wearing along, flowing white garment. Check it out on our video library below!

Unexplained aromas, seeing shadow figures, objects move and things getting misplaced are common here. There is also an angry man that prowls the theatre, and two children who are said to run around and play.

This property has been featured on the World's Largest Ghost Hunt in FOUR CONSECUTIVE YEARS, form 2016-2019. http://www.nationalghosthuntingday.com/  It has also been featured on TV's My Ghost Story.
